Ethan Loya, a sophomore majoring in accounting at Eastern New Mexico University, decided to attend ENMU because it was close to home and affordable.

“I knew that at ENMU I could get the quality education I needed without paying the high tuition rates of other schools,” he said.

When he’s not in classes, he lives 17 miles away in Clovis, New Mexico.

He is able to succeed due to the help he gets from his professors. He loves how they “are willing to help” with assignments during office hours and even after-office hours.

The sophomore also enjoys the social life of the university. “There are clubs for everyone’s interests,” he said.

Ethan believes earning a degree from Eastern will give him many job opportunities.

“I expect my degree to make me more appealing to potential employers,” he said.

He also will “be able to choose between different jobs” and expand upon what he has learned at ENMU.

Ethan recommends Eastern for the university’s diversity and interaction.

“I get to meet people from all over the country, as well as students from other countries,” he said.
