Have you ever heard of a barn raising? These were common in the 18th and 19th century,
mostly in rural North America. When a person in the area was in need of a costly but vital
structure like a barn, the entire community would often come together and build the barn for
their neighbor. At the Pregnancy Resource Center, we found ourselves in need of a new
building, as we had outgrown the one we were in. When our community discovered our need,
they stepped in and helped us “raise our barn”!

We cannot say enough how grateful we are to our community and to the local businesses and
craftsmen that donated their time and resources to create a professional, practical space for us
to be able to more effectively serve our clients. At the end of this release, you will find a list of most of the incredibly generous donors- some chose to remain anonymous, and we want to
honor their wishes.

We have now been seeing clients in our new location since February 1st. We can confidently say that we have not missed a beat with this move. Compared to 2022, during the months of February and March, we did 44% more pregnancy tests and almost doubled our ultrasounds. Our men’s ministry is truly picking up momentum as well, and the added space for male clients has been exactly what was needed and more. Not only does our men’s director now have his own office space/counseling room, there is also a multi-purpose room for future men’s programs.

We have loved being able to have one side of our center for medical appointments like pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and STD/STI testing and treatment, while using the other side for parenting classes, Bible classes, peer counseling, post abortion care, and miscarriage and infant loss support. Our baby boutique is right in the center of the building and easily accessible to clients and staff. We were even blessed with a washer and dryer to clean all clothing donations as soon as they are dropped off.

One thing that we keep hearing from clients and others who have come into our center is that they feel a sense of peace even from the moment they walk in the door. We know that as the “peace that passes understanding,” according to Philippians 4:6. God has been present with us from the very beginning of this process, and He is making His presence known to all who enter our facility.

As we continue to defend the lives of the unborn with love and conviction, while serving moms,
dads, and families, we are so thankful that so many in our community have been in this with us!

We are continually kingdom minded, striving to make a difference in our area, and we are able to do that because of the love and generosity of people who helped us “raise our barn” and those that have supported us in so many ways throughout the years. The Pregnancy Resource
Center of Eastern New Mexico is incredibly grateful for all of you!
