USTIN, Texas – Eastern New Mexico Track & Field had one athlete recognized for their academic achievements by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Junior Ezra Bagwell was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-America Track/Cross Country Second Team as announced Wednesday afternoon.

This is the first Academic All-American honor for Bagwell, who was a strong competitor for ENMU in the decathlon during the outdoor season. The Clayton, N.M., native carries a 4.0 GPA in Electrical Engineering Technology. He placed fifth at the LSC Outdoor Championships with a total of 6119 points and was part of the men’s 4x100m relay team that placed fourth at the outdoor conference championships.

Bagwell was named to the LSC All-Academic Team for the indoor and outdoor seasons and was a First Team CoSIDA Academic All-District selection for the outdoor season. He is one of 10 athletes on the 45 listed on first, second and third teams that holds a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA.
