Cozetta Moore, President of the Altrusa International of Portales club, was elected to serve as Governor Elect for 2025 – 2027 for Altrusa International, Inc., District Ten. Moore will transition to the role of District Governor for 2027-2029. The election took place during the district’s annual conference held May 1-3, 2025 in Montrose, CO.
During her upcoming term of office Moore will receive training, make club visits and emphasize literacy and community service throughout the district as well as in her home club in Portales. Active in Altrusa since invited into membership in 2012 Moore currently serves as the Portales club’s president. Previously, Moore has served as secretary, vice-president, president. Moore has also held many director positions, and as chair of Holiday Happening, and as the communications chair at the district level.
Other elected officers include Sonja Horn of Montrose, CO, as Governor; Mandi Park of Portales, NM as Vice-Governor; Carrie Cavin of Roswell, NM as Membership Director; Ruth Brake of Artesia, NM as Treasurer; Charlene Montgomery of Tucumcari, NM as International Foundation Liaison; the governor will appoint a Parliamentarian and a Secretary. Ashley Mason of Artesia, NM will serve as Immediate Past Governor.
