Dana Beth (Littlefield) Pergeson July 20, 1939 ~ September 28, 2026 (age 87)

Funeral services for Dana Pergeson, 87, of Portales, New Mexico, will be held at 10:00 AM, on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Wheeler Mortuary Chapel with Leonard Stanton officiating.  Burial will follow in the Portales Cemetery with Joshua Warren, Mark Warren, Matthew Warren, Blake Cox, Chris Pergeson, Delayna Swearengin, Nathan Whittlesey and Jimmy McBride serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Miller, Jaida Shannon and Noah McBride.  The family will receive friends at the Mortuary from 6-7 PM on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

Dana Beth (Littlefield) Pergeson was born was born on July 20, 1939, in Dickens, Texas to the home of Ina Elizabeth (Rogers) and Clarence Lee Littlefield, and died on September 28, 2026, in Portales, New Mexico.

Dana married Fred Pergeson on December 17, 1955. Dana and Fred were married for 59 years until Fred’s passing in 2015.  They had three sons: Dean, Ray and Don.  Dana belonged to the Emmanual Baptist Church.  She retired from the City of Portales as Administrative Assistant to the Portales Police Chief.  Dana was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3245 Auxiliary in Clovis.

Dana is survived by three sons, Dean Pergeson, Ray Pergeson and Don Pergeson; one sister, Nona Laura McCaig & husband Jim; seven grandkids, Krystal (David) Hale, Stephanie (Richard) Miller, Chris Pergeson, Nicole (Billy) Hogan, Kristy Whittlesey, Blake (Samantha) Cox, Shelbee (Andy) Garcia and Jimmy McBride; great grandkids, Joshua Warren, Mark (Maria) Warren, Matthew Warren, Jacob Miller, Jayson Miller, Noah McBride, Mason Cox, Asher Garcia, Delayna Swearengin, Nathan Whittlesey, Jaida Shannon, Alexis Hogan, Junior Hogan, Taylor Hogan, Star Hale, Skye Hale; two great-great granddaughters, Piper and Kayley Hale, and two formal daughters-in-law, Dina Fitzgerald and Joan Bergeron.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred and her brother, Loren Littlefield.
