A memorial service for Della Myers, 63, of Clovis, will be held at 4:00 PM, Sat., Sept. 23, 2023 at the Orthodox Church Fellowship, 1101 Pile St, in Clovis with Rev. Joseph Balschke officiating.

Della Kay Myers was born Sept. 18, 1959, in London, OH to the home of Barbara Jane (Morrison) and Kenneth Wayne Myers, and died in Clovis, on Sept. 12, 2023.  Her early years were spent in Columbus, OH, and Tampa, FL.  She was living in Louisville, KY in the early 1980’s, where she met and married Thomas Priddy.  The couple had three children together before finally divorcing.  Della’s father died when she was very young, and she was raised by her mother

Della did whatever was necessary to provide for her children.  For a time, she ran a plant nursery.  Throughout her life she loved flowers, particularly carnations and lilies.  Her favorite color was purple, so she was always sure to have some purple flowers mixed in.  At another time she worked tending bar.  She was selfless and very loving to her family.  She was extremely proud of her children, and devoted to her grandchildren.  While her children were at home Della was the family barber.

She enjoyed playing solitaire, and other card games, as well as passing the time coloring.  She also loved to crochet and sew.  She was a member of the Baptist church.

She is survived by a son, Michael Priddy and his fiancé, Brittany Paddock; two daughters and a son-in-law, Victoria and Canon Ashford of Clovis and Amber Priddy of Louisville, KY; seven grandchildren, Zelda, Holly, Tracey, Nolan and Sean Ashfrord and Maddie and Logan Priddy; a brother, Kenneth Myers of Tampa, FL and a sister, Susan Myers of Atlanta, GA; and by her former husband, Thomas Priddy of Louisville, KY.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Perry Myers and Michael and David Myers, a pair of twins that died as infants.
