Multiple wildfires burning across our state have put New Mexicans in a life or death crisis. That’s why I worked alongside our state’s entire Congressional Delegation and Governor Lujan Grisham to secure President Biden’s swift approval of a Major Disaster Declaration that will send sorely needed help to impacted communities in New Mexico.

Individuals in Colfax, Lincoln, Mora, San Miguel, and Valencia Counties who have experienced losses from these wildfires can begin applying today with FEMA the following ways:

  • Apply online atDisasterAssistance.gov.
  • Constituents may call the application phone number at 1-800-621-3362 or1-800-462-7585 (TTY) for the hearing and speech impaired from7 a.m. to 10 p.m. MT.

In addition, my staff will be hosting a series of Mobile Office Hours in Peñasco, Las Vegas, and Glorieta on Friday and Saturday to provide direct assistance to New Mexicans who have been impacted by the fires.
