PORTALES, NM – Jan. 5, 2022 – Eastern New Mexico University and New Mexico-based Lescombes Family Vineyards announced today online sales of Eastern Sunrise Bubbly White Wine are now live. The sweet white wine is available online at https://www.enmu.edu/EasternSunrise and available at all Lescombes locations statewide.
The wine is described as a New Mexico sweet carbonated white wine, with hints of peaches and honeydew, that pairs well with traditional white wine dishes. Revenues generated from sales of Eastern Sunrise will go to support scholarships for students at Eastern New Mexico University.
The name “Eastern Sunrise” was chosen from over 100 names submitted in the naming contest ENMU hosted this past summer. ENMU Alumnus Andrew Sanchez suggested the name “Eastern Sunrise” as part of the naming contest and will win a prize package from ENMU, including a bottle of Eastern Sunrise wine.
The front of the bottle showcases ENMU’s most historic building, the administration building, with the brilliant eastern sunrise rising in the background. ENMU alumnus Bryan Hahn created the bottle design.
Eastern New Mexico University is hosting a launch party on Tuesday, Jan. 18, from 7-9 p.m. at the Hervé Wine Bar in Santa Fe. This event is open to all ENMU alumni and friends with an RSVP date of Jan. 10, 2022. To RSVP, please email communication.services@enmu.edu.
