The Elida Tigers boys & girls hosted Floyd in a Roosevelt County, district matchup on Friday, Feb. 8.

The girls game ended in a 10-point difference for the two teams. The Lady Tigers held the lead in the first 3 periods, and even though Floyd gave them a tough fought 4th period, it wasn’t enough for the Lady Broncos to take the lead. Elida won with a final score of 42-32. The Lady Tigers are 11-6 this season and 5-1 in district. The Lady Broncos from Floyd are 4-11 this season and 1-5 in district.

The boys played following the girls, and the game was much closer. Floyd Broncos led in the first 11-10, then Elida outscored them in the 2nd 22-9. The Tigers were in the lead at halftime. Floyd outscored the Tigers in the 2nd half, but because of the large lead the Tigers created in the 2nd period, they came out of the game on top. The final score was 63-57. The Elida Tigers are 11-8, and 3-3 in district, The Floyd Broncos are 4-11 this season and 2-4 in district.
