Obituary

It is with our deepest sorrow, we announce the passing of Francisco “Tank” Lopez, 31, of Portales, New Mexico. He was born May 26th, 1989 to Francisco Lopez and Amelia D. Carrasco. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends engaging in family activities such as board games, dice and card games. He spent his days raising and caring for his birds at his ranch. He had a love for music and was teaching himself to play the accordion and drums and was excited to show off his skills.

He is proceeded in death by his father Frank Lopez, his mother Amelia D. Carrasco, his grandmother “momo”, his grandfather “popo”, his aunt Benita and cousin Chris. He is survived by his daughter Breeha Lopez. Three brothers, Fernando Lopez of Portales, Fabian Lopez of Portales, and Brian Lopez of Clovis, his niece and nephew Avanii and Elijah Lopez of Portales as well as numerous aunts uncles and cousins.

Services will be held Saturday, March 27th, 2021 at 2pm at the Portales Cemetery with a dinner to follow.
