STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Sophomore outside hitter Jasmine Gannon from the Eastern New Mexico volleyball team was named to the Lone Star Conference All-Tournament Team on Saturday.
In the Hounds 3-0 loss to top-seeded Tarleton State on Thursday in the quarterfinal round of the LSC Tournament, Gannon finished the match with 13 kills on a .265 attack percentage 11 digs and a service ace.
Gannon ended her sensational sophomore season with 421 total points, the fourth-most points scored by a Greyhounds player in the last 12 seasons. The only players that have scored more are All-American Lauren Frye twice with 589 points in 2016 and 527 points in 2015, as well as Brooklyn Biel’s 424.5 points during the 2016 season.
With 384 kills this season, Gannon was second in the Lone Star in total kills and third in kills per set at 3.31.
It was one of many accolades Gannon had won during the 2018 season after she was named to the All-LSC First Team as well as earned All-Academic Team accolades on Wednesday.
