PORTALES, NM — After posting a 2-1-2 mark in their final five home matches, the Eastern New Mexico University women’s soccer team (3-7-4; LSC 2-4-2) will hit the road for the final four games of the regular season. Eastern is coming off a dramatic 1-0 victory over UT Permian Basin.

On Friday evening at 6 p.m., the Greyhounds will be hosted by Texas Woman’s University. On Sunday, ENMU will visit Texas A&M-Commerce.

Over their last five home matches, the Greyhounds have allowed just one goal and posted a 2-1-2 record. The final home match saw the Hounds post a 1-0 win over UT Permian Basin on Sunday.

For the season, Ariel Lopez has been Eastern’s offensive leader with three goals and three assists. The trio of Jaci SieversMirka Zamarripa and Kaitlyn Caro each have a pair of goals. Alejandra Camarillo has played every minute in net and has a 1.38 goals-against average with a .704 save percentage

Spence is in his first season with Eastern.

The Pioneers bring a record of 4-7-3 with a mark of 1-5-2 into tomorrow’s contest. TWU is 0-1-1 over their last two matches with a 1-1 tie against Texas A&M-Commerce and a 3-2 setback against 24th-ranked Midwestern State. Chelsea Martin paces the Pioneers with five goals (which includes two game-winners) and an assist. Maddie Vickroy has ben TWU’s primary goalkeeper and has a 1.31 goals-against average with a .716 save percentage.

The Hounds are 7-12-1 against Texas Woman’s with a 2-6 record on the road. Eastern has won two of the last three meetings, which includes a 2-0 decision at Al Whitehead Field at Greyhound Stadium, last month. Mirka Zamarripa tallied the game-winning goal 5:39 into play and Ariel Lopezadded an insurance goal early in the second half. Alejandra Camarillo made one save to earn the win.

The Lions boast an 8-3-3 record with a 4-3-1 mark on LSC play. Texas A&M-Commerce saw its four-match undefeated streak snapped on Friday in a 1-0 setback at 24th-ranked Midwestern State. Sophie Haywood leads the Lions with six goals (with three game-winners) and two assists. Caitlin Duty has played every minute in net and has a 0.75 goals-against average with an .836 save percentage.

The Greyhounds are looking for their first win over Texas A&M-Commerce.
