The All Breed Horse Show Association (ABHSA) was instituted by several interested horse people in the area, approximately 20 years ago. It was designed for all age groups with an emphasis on youth classes.  Shows provided an avenue for 4-H kids to practice classes that would get them ready for 4-H horse shows.  Classes provided at that time were: Showmanship, Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Trail, Reining, Barrels, and poles.  Through the years the classes have changed a little but the main theme remains to promote good horsemanship skills to all levels and ages of riders.  ABHSA provides an environment where everyone helps everyone to become better riders and horse people.

This season we will begin with a clinic on April 22nd.  There will be three clinicians working on showmanship, horsemanship, and trail throughout the day.  Individual all day fee is $25.   ABHSA will host 4-point shows this season where individuals can earn points toward year-end prizes. At the end of the season, we also try to have a social gathering such as a trail ride to thank our sponsors.  Last year it was a combined chuck wagon meal and trail ride thanks to Sandra Julian supporting our club cooking an authentic meal with her chuck wagon.    A year-end banquet is held approximately a month after the last show to award prizes to the participants.  In 2016, we were able to give day prizes at each show along with the year-end prizes thanks to all our gracious sponsors.
Following is a list of the planned events for the upcoming season and for more information you may contact, Donna Tivis 575-760-9926 or check out our facebook page ABHSA.  All shows this season will be held at Curry Stables & Arena, 1806 US 60-84, Clovis, NM.  This arena is across the highway from Cannon Air Force Base.
