The Eastern New Mexico baseball program will be hosting an ENMU Prospect Camp in Rio Rancho, N.M. on Sunday, Aug. 5 beginning at 1 p.m. at the Rio Rancho High School baseball field.

The camp is open to prospects between the ages of 14-18 and will provide the athletes with exposure to the Eastern coaching staff. The camp will feature a showcase portion of the event, followed up by a pro-style workout that will allow athletes the opportunity to showcase their talents in multiple facets of the game.

This format for the event will allow the older campers an ideal opportunity to be evaluated by the Hound coaching staff, while also engaging with the staff to better understand what will be expected of them at the next level.

Athletes that attend the camp are expected to bring a bat, gloves, cleats, and should wear comfortable workout gear upon arrival. In case of inclement weather, campers should also bring gym shoes or turf shoes in order to continue their camp experience inside the indoor facility.

Early registration for the event can be found online at the link provided below, while on-site registration and check-in will begin at 12:30 p.m. Cost for the camp will be $60 and those seeking further information are encouraged to contact assistant coach Brett Merritt by phone at 575-562-2947 or by email at brett.merritt@enmu.edu.
