Jesus “Danny” Daniel Espinoza August 24, 2002 ~ July 15, 2026 (age 23)

A funeral service for Jesus Daniel Espinoza will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 27, 2026, in the Wheeler Mortuary Chapel with his grandfather Jesus Espinoza officiating.  Burial will follow in the Portales Cemetery with Jasmine Espinoza, Eli Espinoza, Juan Carbajal, Irving Espinoza, Jacob Ramirez, Alejandro Mendoza, Juan Espinoza and Ivan Mesa serving as pallbearers.  All of his family and friends will be honorary pallbearers.

With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of Jesus Daniel “Danny” Espinoza, who went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the age of 23.

Danny was born on August 24, 2002, in Clovis, New Mexico, to his parents, Lucia Sanchez and Jesus “Manuel” Espinoza Jr.

There are no words that can truly capture the impact Danny had on the people around him. He was more than a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, coworker, or friend—he was someone who could brighten any room with his presence and leave a lasting memory with everyone he met. Whether he was making people laugh, lending a helping hand, or simply spending time with those he loved, Danny lived in a way that reminded us all to appreciate life’s simple moments.

Family and friends were at the heart of Danny’s life. He will always be remembered for his kindness, authenticity, generosity, unwavering loyalty, infectious sense of humor, and the genuine love he showed to everyone around him. His compassion and ability to make others feel welcome touched countless lives. Though his time with us was far too short, the love, laughter, and memories he shared will remain in our hearts forever.

Danny is survived by his loving mother, Lucia Sanchez of Portales, New Mexico; his father, Jesus “Manuel” Espinoza (Irma) of El Paso, Texas; his cherished sisters, Jasmine, Kristell, and Kaylee Espinoza; his brothers, Alejandro Mendoza, Juan Carbajal, Eli and Irving Espinoza, and Jacob Ramirez; his paternal grandparents, Jesus and Martha Espinoza of Portales, New Mexico; his maternal grandfather, Victor Sanchez (Maria) of El Paso, Texas; his aunts, Martha Mesa (Eloy) of Phoenix, Arizona, and Rosa Dominguez (Jorge) of Dallas, Texas; his uncles, David Espinoza (Mayra) and Samuel Espinoza (Mari) of Portales, New Mexico; along with his many beloved cousins, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were forever changed by knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary R. “Cleo” Sanchez, and his uncle, Victor M. Sanchez.

Although words cannot ease the pain of losing someone so deeply loved, we find comfort in knowing that Danny’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His life, though brief, was filled with meaning, and his legacy of kindness, laughter, and unconditional love will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.

While our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find peace in knowing that one day we will see him again. Danny now rests safely in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. As we grieve his loss, we also celebrate the incredible person he was and the beautiful life he lived. May we remember him not only with tears, but with gratitude for the precious time we were blessed to share with him.
