Marco Jesus Lopez December 7, 2000 ~ June 10, 2025 (age 24)

The Rosary for Marco Lopez, 25, of Portales, will be recited at 9:00 AM, Fri., June 13, 2025 at St. Helen Catholic Church.  Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 AM by Deacon Paul Benoit.  Burial will follow in the Portales Cemetery with Daniel J. Lopez, Gordo Ezequiel Lopez, Izaiyah Lopez, Nathaniel Lopez, Pablo Madril, Jonathan Gonzalez Morones, Daniel Lopez and Arnold Rodriguez serving as pallbearers.  A. J. Prieto, Paul Gallegos, Sam Martinez, Larry Uriose, Emily Lopez, Maria Magdaleno, Pete Corrales, Jr., his nieces, Camila and Aliani and nephew, Elian as well as other family members will serve as honorary pallbearers.  The family requests that those in attendance wear blue clothing.

Marco Jesus Lopez was born Dec. 7, 2000 in Clovis, NM to Amy Marie Urioste and Daniel Lopez and died June 10, 2025 at his home.  As a boy, Marco played city league T-Ball and baseball.  In school he was on the track team and played football.  In 2018, he moved along with his family to Casa Grande, AZ, but returned in 2019 when his grandfather became ill.  While living in Casa Grande, Marco was employed at a Rain Maker Car Wash.  Since returning to Portales, he and several friends have done landscaping for a living.  Marco loved listening to music, and playing outside with his two little boys.

He is survived by his sons, Ismael and Mikael Lopez both of Clovis; his mother, Amy Urioste, and his father, Daniel Lopez both of Portales; his grandparents, Glorie Urioste of Portales and Debbie Anaya and Eleuterio Lopez both of Clovis; his brothers, Daniel J. Lopez of Clovis, Ezequiel Lopez of Portales, Pablo Madril of Clovis, Izaiyah Lopez of Portales and Nathaniel Lopez also of Portales; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and other family members.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Raymond Urioste.
