The Mass of the Resurrection for Maria L. Ramos Vazquez, 58 of Portales, will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Thurs., Sept. 1, 2022 at St. Helen Catholic Church with Fr Francisco Carbajal officiating. Burial will follow in the Portales Cemetery.
Maria Leticia Ramos Vazquez was born June 4, 1964, in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico to the home of Felicitas (Rodriguez) and Alfredo Vazquez Flores, and died early on the morning of Aug. 28, 2022 in Portales, NM. Ms. Vazquez came to the United States in 2009, and began working at the Privett Chicken Hatchery. She continued working there until her health would no longer allow. In addition, she often cooked items or baked things to sell.
She is survived by three sons, Edgar Andres Sarinana Vazquez of Portales, Brayan Jesus Puente Vazquez of Plainview, TX and Alfredo Vazquez Rodriguez of Torreon, Mexico; and two daughters, Saray Sarinana Vazquez of Portales and Perla Janeth Sarinana Vazquez of Odessa, TX; 13 grandchildren; and two sisters, Maria del Rosario Vazquez Rodriguez and Marizela Vazquez Rodriguez both of Torreon, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Karla Fabiola Vazquez Rodriguez.
