Prock Selected to Serve on NCAA DII National Committee

Head Coach Josh Prock of Eastern New Mexico women’s basketball has been named the South Central Region representative of the NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball National Committee.

Following a 2019-20 season that saw him reach his 200th career win and take his team to its second-straight regional tournament, Prock joins the eight-member committee which will be tasked with selecting participants and assigning seeds to the NCAA Tournament field.

“I am extremely honored to be selected to serve on the National Committee for Division II women’s basketball,” said Prock. “I am looking forward to serving the South Central Region and I definitely want to thank all those that helped make this possible.”

To earn a spot on the National Committee school administrators must be first nominated by their conference before serving four-year terms in which they are expected to be experts on all teams in their assigned region while maintaining knowledge of all Division II basketball. Committee members spend countless hours evaluating teams during the regular season and are responsible for selecting the 23 automatic qualifiers and the remaining 41 at large teams.
