Richard Omdahl Obituary

     Richard Leon Omdahl, 87, of Clovis, was born on October 28, 1937, in Warren, Minnesota, to the home of Ruth Elma (Larson) and Olaf Bernard Omdahl and went home to be with the Lord on July 19, 2025, in Portales, New Mexico.

Richard grew up in Warren, Minnesota and graduated from Warren High School in 1956.  Right after high school, he joined the United States Navy serving four years.  While in the Navy, Richard received his Welder’s Certificate and was an underwater welder.  Richard was a welder and iron worker all of his life.  Richard enjoyed hunting, team roping and playing golf.  He also loved to hang out with his buddies and he was a little bit of a jokester too.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Olaf and Ruth Omdahl, and his brothers Don and James Omdahl.  He is survived by his children, Amber Workheiser and husband Kenneth of Clovis, Julie Burns of Phoenix, AZ, Tara Wald and husband Doug of Easley, SC, Cory Omdahl of Phoenix, AZ and Elizabeth Kelly of Little Elm, TX; a sister, Meridel Smisek and husband Bob of Marshall, MN, and his grandchildren, Kendahl Workheiser, Connor Burns, Owen & Evan Wald and Jacob, Grace & Nathaniel Kelly.
