From the Public Works Department:
Please be advised that North Kilgore will be closed for a water tap installation scheduled by the City of Portales Public Utilities Department on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Work is set to begin at 8:00 AM.
In conjunction with this, WTDenton will also be excavating to install a sewer tap and lateral in the same vicinity. The road will remain closed until both projects are completed, backfilled with proper compaction, and the concrete has fully cured.
