The city of Portales and its governing body has had a need to call a special session, which will be held starting at 5:00 pm this Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at council chambers in the Memorial Building. Its specific purpose was to give our finance department and its director an opportunity to complete the necessary work on our city’s new fiscal year’s budget proposal and prepare for its public hearing. The only other additional city business to be presented will also be from our finance department’s efforts to finish out the ending of the past fiscal year.
