Obituary
Thelma Mae Brown was born in Sugar City, Colorado on December 24, 1927, to the home of Rachel Edna (Clemons) and Cornelius Wood Sullivan when the 10’ o’clock hour singled shift change at the sugar factory, and died in her home in Portales on Feb. 11, 2020.

Her Dad was a dry land Farmer, while her Mother kept the farmhouse. The oldest of later seven children, she grew up on the outskirts of Fowler, Colorado. After graduating from high school, she moved to Denver where she earned her living as a waitress at various restaurants.

As the years went on she married and moved to Portales New Mexico to go to ENMU in the early 1960’s. Later she lived near relatives to watch her nieces and nephews grow up. As life went on, she called Portales home.

Thelma is survived by various sisters, Helen in Minnesota, Laura in Colorado, and Mary Lou in Portales. She will be deeply missed by everyone.
