KANSAS CITY, MO. – Fresh off two perfect weeks of action, the Eastern New Mexico women’s soccer team sits at No. 10 in the second United Soccer Coaches South Central Region Poll, released Tuesday afternoon.

The Hounds picked up their second and third wins of the year last week toppling Adams State 3-0 and finishing of the weekend with a 1-0 defeat over Fort Lewis on their way to the best start in the 17-year history of the program.

Eastern moves into the regional rankings after not appearing on the list following week one. Colorado Springs sits atop the region followed by Colorado School of Mines, Dallas Baptist, Texas Woman’s and Westminster (Utah). Angelo State ranks sixth followed by Regis, Dixie State, Texas A&M-Commerce and the Greyhounds.

ENMU is the only squad in the South Central region to not allow a goal in 2019 while tied for fifth in the nation with three shutouts.

The Green and Silver return to action this weekend as they finish their non-conference schedule against Southern Nazarene. Kickoff is slated for Saturday at noon in Bethany, Okla.
