SAN ANGLEO, Texas – The Eastern New Mexico women’s soccer team fell, 1-0, at #12 Angelo State University on Saturday afternoon in Lone Star Conference play.

Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first half. Angelo State held the offensive advantage through the first 45 minutes of play though, with 16 shots to ENMU’s one shot.

Just over seven minutes into the second frame, ASU’s Valerie Solis converted a penalty kick that was awarded after an Eastern handball in the box to put her team up by a goal.

The Greyhounds were held to zero shots throughout the remainder of the contest to give the Belles the close 1-0 victory.
