a) Action to enter into public hearing for the Issuance of a Restaurant Beer and Wine Liquor
License with On-Premises Consumption.
b) Action to close the public hearing.

PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE: S. Chavez, Director
1. Approval of Resolution #2024-05, A Resolution Declaring Surplus Equipment for Auction.
FIRE DEPARTMENT: Chief Cathey
1. Recommended for Approval of Mayor and Fire/EMS Chief’s S4ignatures on the Assurances page for
Grant Application for LUCAS equipment. This grant application is $84,046.28 for four (4)i4 chest
compression devices.
2. Recommended for Approval of Mayor and Fire/EMS Chief’s Signatures on the Assurances page for
Grant Application for 4X4 Ambulance with a total cost $293,000.00 with a 25% City Match in the
Amount of $73,250.00.
3. Recommended Approval of Medical Director Agreement with Dr. Carver. The Cost Will Be
$2,000.00 Per Month, $24,000.00 Annually Plus NM GRT. Medical Direction is Required For All
EMS Services Including Emergency Medical Dispatchers. 6 Volunteer Fire Departments Portion
Will Be $7,200.00 Annually and the City of Portales (Fire Department & Dispatch) Portion Will Be
$18,060.00 Annually.

1. Requesting Approval For Mayor’s Signature on FY 2025 Law Enforcement Protection Fund
Application.
