On Thursday, March 4, 2021, MFA will begin accepting applications for the COVID-
19 Housing Cost Assistance Program. The program offers grants to cover housing costs to ensure that households maintain their housing and/or to reduce delinquency caused by the COVID-19 health crisis. As an MFA partner, we are asking that you help us get the word out about this crucial assistance.

MFA will make payments directly to landlords, servicers, escrow companies and other housing providers on behalf of eligible applicants to cover rental, mortgage, real estate contract or mobile/manufacture home payments. Recipients can expect as much as $1,500 per month for up to three consecutive months applied to be applied to their accounts. The grant does not need to be repaid.
