RICHARDSON, Texas – Mikaela Garvin and Jasmine Gannon of Eastern New Mexico volleyball picked up all-conference recognition as the conference office announced the 2021 LSC Volleyball All-Conference awards at the 2021 LSC Volleyball Championship Banquet, in San Angelo, Texas on Wednesday evening. Garvin was named Freshman of the Year and named to the 2021 LSC All-Freshman Team, while Gannon landed on the 2021 LSC All-Conference Second Team.

Garvin had a standout first season, finding 2.22 kills per set (k/s), with a team leading hitting percentage of .255 (minimum 30 attempts). The San Antonio, Texas native also contributed 60.0 blocks throughout the season (0.63 blocks per set (b/s)), which is third for the Greyhounds. Garvin accounted for 244.5 points on the season, for 2.55 points per set (p/s), standing second on the team.

Garvin is the first Greyhound to win an LSC individual award since 2017, when Andrea Aguilar was recognized as the LSC Libero of the Year. Garvin is the third ENMU student-athlete to win LSC Freshman of the Year, with Lauren Frye winning the honor in 2013, and Tina Mayo won the award in 1991.

Gannon picks up their second career all-conference honor, following receiving LSC All-Conference First Team honors in 2018. The Clovis, N.M. native was placed on the LSC All-Conference Second-Team after leading the Greyhounds in kills and k/s (284, 2.94 k/s), digs (268), along with points and p/s (333.0, 3.43 p/s). Gannon was also second on the team digs per set (d/s) with 2.76 d/s. Defensively, Gannon led the Greyhounds in reception percentage with .947 (minimum 20 receptions). Across the conference, Gannon landed in 13th with 2.94 k/s, and 14th in the LSC for p/s with 3.43 p/s.
