Geneva (Munoz) Nevarez March 25, 1975 ~ October 17, 2026 (age 51)

A memorial service for Geneva Munoz Nevarez, 51, will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, October 30, 2026, at the Portales Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in the Portales Cemetery.

Geneva Nevarez (Munoz) was born on March 25, 1975, in Clovis, NM, to the home of Ben Munoz Sr and Maria E Cabezuela and passed on October 17, 2026, in Lubbock, TX.

Geneva was the 7th born out of her brothers and sisters. Geneva worked many years in the community. She worked as an ESL teacher back in the early 2000’s. She worked in retail and caregiving. Geneva enjoyed her family, traveling, music, dancing, cooking, thrifting, crafting & making people laugh. But most of all spending time with her daughters.

She is survived by her husband Encarnacion Nevarez, three daughters, Deyanira Sigala (32) of Portales, Daleyza & Dalary Nevarez (10) of Portales, her six brothers & sisters.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Karisma Isabel Nevarez, her mother Maria E Cabezuela, her brother Steven Gutierrez, and one nephew Esteban Sigala.
