Gateway Christian Defeats Elida on their Home Turf

On a warm, September evening, with dozens in attendance, the Elida Tigers hosted Gateway Christian from Roswell for a football game. The matchup was Elida’s first home game of the 2021 season.

Early on in the game, Gateway Christian, who was undefeated so far this season, started tacking on points. Their streak continued, and the Tigers were handed a total shutout. Elida lost 53-0 against their Roswell opponent.

Elida is 1-2 this season. They will travel to down the highway to Floyd for a matchup against the Broncos on Friday, September 10th. Kickoff will be at 1 PM.
