Classic cars are as big a part of Roosevelt County’s Heritage as covered wagons. Over its 33 years Heritage Days as always tipped its hat in a big way to those folks dedicated to preserving our automotive history.

This year is no different with the Heritage Days Car Show 2017 sponsored by C&S, Inc. Heritage Days Car Show chairman Donny Massey says folks can always expect a variety of different vehicles and eras represented. Probably the biggest group is the classic cars, including the muscle cars of the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s. Last year’s People’s Choice was a “60s Ford Mustang. Anyone is welcome to enter their restored, classic or antique vehicle. Cost to register is $20 per vehicle. Car owners can sign up online at www.portales.com or pick up a form at the Chamber at 100 S. Ave. A. Registration at the event will begin at 8 a.m. with the show starting at 9 a.m. For more information contact Massey at (575) 477-2276 or the Chamber at (575) 356-8541.
