Kimberly Anne (Lancaster) Brady September 9, 1962 ~ September 26, 2026 (age 64)

There will be an informal gathering to honor the memory of Kimberly Anne Brady, 64, of Portales, at 11:00 AM, Sat., Oct. 3, 2026 at the Floyd Community Center.

Kimberly Anne Brady was born Sept. 9, 1962 in Portales to the home of Sharon (Wood) and Pete Lancaster and passed from this life on Sept. 26, 2026 in Lubbock, TX.  Mrs. Brady graduated from Floyd High School in 1980.  For the next several years she worked as a server at El Rancho Restaurant.  In Clovis on Nov. 17, 1995, she was married to Matthew Brady.  Soon after their marriage, she became a full-time homemaker.  She was a devoted wife and mother and later a devoted grandmother.

Kimberly was an extremely organized lady.  She made lists of everything imaginable; daily chores, packing lists, grocery lists, etc.   There are literally stacks of notebooks filled with her checklists.  She loved to do craft projects of every kind, and going to the casinos to play the slot machines.  Her greatest joy came from being with her family.  She was particularly close to her eight-year-old granddaughter, Layla Brady.  She saw her on a daily basis, taking care of her after school, and any other time she could.

She is survived by Matthew, her husband of almost 31 years of their home; her sons, Rustin Lancaster, Clay Brady, and Jake Brady all of Portales, and David “Max” Wallace and wife, Meagan of Garland, TX; her four grandchildren, Layla Brady of Portales; and Jaice Wallace, Alonni Wallace and Micah Wallace all of Garland, TX; three brothers, Britt (Teresa) Lancaster of Fargo, OK, Monty (Terri) Lancaster of Portales and Jimmy (Amy) Lancaster of Turpin, OK; and a sister, Connie (Dean) Schumaker of Ventura, NC.  She was preceded in death by both of her parents.
