On April 23, 2021 the Elida Tigers faced Des Moines for a non-conference basketball game in San Jon as a neutral location.

Elida and Des Moines went back and forth on the scoreboard, but by the end of the 1st period, the Tigers were ahead 16-13.

By the end of two, Elida had taken a decent lead over Des Moines. Their score was 38-22, leaving the devils with a fair deficit to overcome after halftime.

When the two teams came out after the half, Elida’s lead continued to grow. The Tigers posted point after point while holding Des Moines defensively.

Elida won the game with a final score of 72-55.

Unfortunately, for the Lady Tigers, their outcome was not as joyous. Des Moines beat Elida’s girls 56-22. The Lady Tigers are now 0-8 this season.

The Elida boys’ win moved their record to 8-1 this season.

Both teams will host Tatum for conference games on Monday, April 26th. The girls will play first at 5:30 PM and the boys’ game will follow at 7 PM in Elida.
