Coaches Report by : Matt Hunton
We played Tuesday at a cold and windy Colonial Park Golf Course in Clovis, NM. The boys are finally getting in some good practice and starting to play like they can. Thomas Tulk led the way with a 74, which was good enough for first place medalist in the boy’s division, winning by four shots. Andrew Underbrink shot a 78 followed by Mario Cordova’s 80. These three scores were good enough to qualify an individual leg for state.

The team was rounded out with Austin Davis shooting an 85 and Talon Payne an 87 totaling a team score of 317.
The team score of 317 was one shot better than Clovis’ 318 giving the Portales Rams their first win of the season. The 317 also gives the team our third and final qualifying leg for state.
We will travel to Ruidoso for a two day tournament at Alto Country Club on Monday April 10 and The Links Golf Course on Tuesday April 11.
Our goal is to improve every tournament and bring home the blue trophy in May.
Go Rams!
