The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting an ENDWI Checkpoint on September 13th, 2025, from 1800 to 2200 hours. The location of the Checkpoint will be on West 1st Street going towards Elida, NM in the approximate area of West University.

Deputies will be looking for drivers who are operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs to reduce the number of impaired driving related crashes and fatalities.

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office believes in the preservation of life by deterring, detecting, and apprehending drivers that are under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs, on the streets and /or highways of Roosevelt County Jurisdiction, within the State of New Mexico.

Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office asks the community to take an active role by reporting drivers who are suspected of drinking and driving on Roosevelt County roads.

Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office asks all individuals in the community not to drive while under the influence. We ask that all individuals after consuming drugs or alcohol utilize a safe way to get home to make Roosevelt County a safe place for all motorists.
