Jeannette Orrantia is the new Director of Marketing, Planning, and Public Relations at Roosevelt General Hospital. Orrantia started in her new position last month and says she’s very excited to be taking on the new role.
Although she jokes that her days are currently filled with “meetings, meetings, and more meetings”, Orrantia says she’s learning a great deal about clinic and hospital services, getting to know the hospital’s providers, as well as the medical staff and administrative teams, all while keeping up with what’s going on in an ever-growing and driven rural community. “It’s just part of the learning process when you assume a new job opportunity”, she adds, “…my number one priority as new Director is to evaluate current marketing practices and create specific advertising and PR plans to achieve the hospital’s organizational goals.”

An addition to these new duties Orrantia will be tackling, she will head-up the planning for marketing-related projects, as well as manage and maintain relationships with outside marketing partners and vendors. Her second priority includes, “…increasing organizational awareness through marketing initiatives by analyzing data and demand for services, to identify potential markets and devise plans to deliver the appropriate message.”

As with many things today, Orrantia says there are several new developments happening within RGH, many of which are very exciting! One major happening is the newly introduced technology for their patient flow. New patients are now able to register electronically with the hospital’s Phreesia tablets. “The tablets also offer a convenient way for patients to pay co-pays or other outstanding balances, fill out surveys, and sign consent forms”, Orrantia says.

When asked what she’s most excited about when taking on this new position, Orrantia’s answer is simple: being in her hometown. “My parents were born here and so was I. I love this community”, she shares. Recalling always hearing about RGH as a child, Orrantia is thrilled to now be part of something she’s grown up around. “Now, I get to be part of this hard-working team of professionals who are just as passionate about serving our community as I am”, she says.

We would like welcome Jeannette Orrantia to her new position and look forward to all the great things she will do with RGH!
