The Minuteman,” a feature film starring Liam Neeson and produced by Azil Productions, will begin principal photography this month in To’Hajilee Pueblo, Albuquerque, Jemez Pueblo, Belen and Rio Rancho, according to New Mexico Film Office director Todd Christensen.

“This is another example of how productions are going to all parts of the state to find locations that fit their story,” said Cabinet Secretary of Economic Development Alicia J. Keyes. “We are pleased that Minuteman has discovered the tribal and rural communities that make New Mexico unique.”

The production will employ 90 New Mexico crew members, 15 New Mexico actors, and 150 New Mexico background talent.
Robert Lorenz (“Trouble with the Curve”) will direct “The Minuteman.” Warren Goz (“Trading Paint”), Eric Gold (“Trading Paint”), Tai Duncan (“How It Ends,” “Honest Thief”) and Mark Williams (“Ozark,” “Honest Thief”) will produce it.

Starring Jacob Perez, Juan Pablo Raba and Katheryn Winnick as well as Neeson, “The Minuteman” tells the story of a rancher on the Arizona border who becomes the unlikely defender of a young Mexican boy desperately fleeing the cartel assassins who have pursued him into the United States.
