When I was 8, I had a purple tee shirt with the word “Unique” written in glitter. I loved that shirt.
In my teens my “style” was as unique as my shirt had proclaimed me to be. Tee shirts, sweats, and cut-offs. Our 16 year old has a similar broody flair. We now call it “fashionably homeless”.

Ultimately, my 43 year search for “style” has really been less about clothing and more about becoming comfortable in my own skin. Comfortable with my nerdiness, proclivities, and penchant for all things Christmas, coffee, and craft related.

The following thoughts are as much for me as they might be for you as we continue to seek The Lord and who He has created each one of us uniquely to be.

Have you embraced your gifts and talents? Have you found a way to use them to bring The Lord glory? Have you followed His leading even when “the world” scoffed? Have you gotten off track because of someone’s criticism?
The Lord has some things to say about us: He has a purpose for your life, His purpose cannot be undone, His purpose will come to pass, His purpose will be good for you and will bring Him glory.

Even when we’re caught off guard by trials and frustrations He whispers Truth if we’ll let Him.
Lord, help me keep my eyes focused on You alone. Help me listen to You as You reveal Your plan and purpose for my life. Strengthen me and give me confidence in who You’ve made me to be and the work You have for me to do, that my every word and action bring You glory.  Amen.
