Balanced hormones are necessary for good health and disease prevention for women and men as we age. BioTE® optimizes hormone levels with tiny pellets just under the skin that release all-natural bio-identical estrogen and/or testosterone and are absorbed consistently into the body as needed.

Here are some common symptoms of hormone imbalance:
• Difficulty sleeping at night
• Lack of energy and fatigue during the day
• Reduced mental focus and memory
• Moody, anxious or depressed
• Weight gain, including increased fat around the midsection
• Inability to lose weight regardless of healthy diet and exercise
• Decreased muscle strength
• Muscle and/or joint pain
• Reduced sexual desire and performance

Women’s Medical Center now offers BioTe hormone therapy!

Proper hormone levels are determined by the BioTE® comprehensive bloodwork analysis. Unique dosing is generated for each individual patient, so dosing is customized for what your body needs. Pellets deliver pure, bio-identical hormones directly into the bloodstream 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for up to 5 months.

Pellets provide a constant supply of hormones that your body recognizes as its own, which significantly reduces the chance of adverse side effects.

Make YOU a Priority in the New Year

When we think of the new year, we think of setting goals and resolutions. Why not make health a priority on your list?
▪ A health check up, including a pap smear, is vital. Call to make an appointment for your yearly exam.
▪ If you are over 50, talk to your practitioner about a mammogram.
▪ Learn the symptoms of breast cancer and do a self-exam once a month.
▪ Be aware of your body and the subtle signals it gives you. If you notice a new pain or problem that persists, make an appointment with your practitioner.
▪ Give yourself permission to relax and breathe! This will help keep stress at bay, which not only makes you feel better, but will help keep you healthy!

WMC – We Just Can’t Quit Ya!

We’ve had a lot going on at Women’s Medical Center lately. We’ve added a new Ultrasound Technician (Shannon), and long-time nurse Stacey Chavez has decided to go back to school to become a Nurse Practitioner! Glynda Dallas has retired, and Dr. Juberg left to go back east.

But we’re proud of the fact that it’s just not that easy to leave the team at Women’s Medical Center. Stacey Chavez will actually be doing part of her health care practicum with us! So you’ll still see her friendly face around the center for a while.

Glynda Dallas will be back in late spring, on a limited basis, to make sure her long-term patients get that special “Glynda” touch.

And Dr. Juberg will be returning to Women’s Medical Center the first part of May!

We’re so glad that both patients and providers feel like family at Women’s Medical Center

Cervical cancer doesn’t always present with symptoms in early stages. Pap smears are recommended for early detection. Sportscaster and Dancing with the Stars Co-Host Erin Andrews shares her story of cervical cancer in this article, along with 5 cervical cancer facts

Call us today to schedule your annual exam!
