PORTALES, NM – THE EASTERN NEW MEXICO WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAM IS SET TO PLAY TWO MORE LONE STAR CONFERENCE CONTESTS THIS WEEK. ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 27 THE GREYHOUNDS HEAD TO WEST TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY FOR A 4 P.M. START BEFORE HOSTING TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY-COMMERCE ON SATURDAY, OCT. 30 AT 11 A.M.

HOUNDS’ LAST TIME OUT

• Eastern is coming off a 3-0 loss to #5 Dallas Baptist University on Saturday, October 23.
• Offensively for the Hounds, Katey Stice paced the team with three shots, while Kelsey Medina had two.
• Whitney Dockweiler made six saves for Eastern in net.
• The Patriots held a 17-9 overall shot advantage, and led in shots on goal, 9-4.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS 

• The West Texas A&M University Lady Buffs enters the week with an overall record of 9-5-0 and 5-4-0 mark in the LSC. They are currently receiving votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches National Poll. WT is coming of a close 3-2 loss to Midwestern State on Saturday, Oct. 23. Asha James netted both goals for the Lady Buffs during the contest. In goal, Reagan Heelan made four saves.
• Overall on the season, Hannah Kelley-Lusk leads the team in goals (18), assists (7), and points (43). Asha James has 10 goals and two assists. Reagan Heelan has played the most minutes in goal and has a goals against average of 1.96 in 13 games.

• Texas A&M University-Commerce enters the week with an overall record of 6-6-2 and 4-4-1 record in conference play (as of 10/25). The Lions will face St. Mary’s on Oct. 27 before taking on the Greyhounds on Saturday. TAMUC defeated St. Edward’s, 2-0, on Saturday, Oct. 23. The Lions saw goals from Leslie Campuzano and Melissa Storey. Lauren Banning made four saves to earn the shutout in net.
• Overall on the season, Karalie Morrison paces the team in goals (9), assists (5), and points (23). Leslie Campuzano is close behind with seven goals and five assists. Jen Peters has seen action in 12 games and has a GAA of 1.95. Lauren Bannings has appeared in net in seven contests and has a GAA of 1.27.
