“The measure of the worth of our public activity for God is the private profound communion we have with Him.… We have to pitch our tents where we shall always have quiet times with God, however noisy our times with the world may be.” – Oswald Chambers  *My Utmost for His Highest, January 6, 736 R*

Even Jesus, fully God and fully human, *intentionally* withdrew from the crowds, demands, and busyness to spend solitary time in prayer with the Father.

Then Jesus got up early in the morning when it was still very dark, departed, and went out to a deserted place, and there he spent time in prayer.

Mark 1:35 NET

What a privilege it is to wake up early and have the freedom to read my Bible and spend time communing with God.
