Linda Jean (Evrage) Brown November 21, 1961 ~ May 15, 2026 (age 64)

Memorial services for Linda Jean Brown, 64, of Portales will be held at 2:00 PM, Tues., June 2, 2026 at Legacy Church with Pastor Abner Ortiz officiating.

Linda Jean Brown was born Nov. 21, 1961, in Carlsbad, NM to the home of Joyce Imogene (Vance) and James Gray Evrage, and passed from this life on May 15, 2026 at her home in Portales.  Linda grew up in Portales.  She went on to attend the Beauty College in Clovis.  For most of her working life she worked in Abstract offices in the area as a bookkeeper.  She retired from Landmark Title in Clovis three years ago.

She enjoyed being outdoors, and particularly enjoyed hunting and fishing.  She was an excellent marksman.  Her indoor activities included various arts and crafts projects.  She was an active and involved member of the Legacy Church congregation.  Among her most favorite pastimes was playing with her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Justin Wayne and Tristan Brown and Brandon Ray and Leslee Brown and a daughter, Laniece Horn all of Portales; seven grandchildren, Amber, Emma, Amy, Elizabeth, Caden, Blayne, and Braylee Brown; her father, James Everage of Pinon, NM; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Clifton and Donna Evrage and William and Michelle Evrage of Las Cruces, NM.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Evrage.
