Sue Belle Wolfe was born May 13, 1938 in Picacho, NM to the home of Linnie (Beck) and Eskel E. Sparkman and died Dec. 17, 2017 in Portales. Mrs. Wolfe’s mother died when she was a child. She grew up for the most part in Roswell. When she was a teen, her brother took her to Pueblo, CO to live with him. After finishing high school, she married Kenneth Wolfe in the mid 1950’s. About 1963, they moved to Alpha, IL to be close to her sister. While living there she worked as a secretary for a law firm. Following the death of her husband in the mid 1990’s, she married Danny Rickard, and they moved to make their home in Brownwood, TX. Ms Wolfe always enjoyed being outdoors, and so she did yard work and housekeeping for various clients in Brownwood. She was a very capable lady, and could accomplish most anything that she set her mind to. She was an excellent seamstress, as well as an artist. In 2011, she came to Portales, to live with her sister. Together, they watched a Bible teacher, Les Feldick on a daily basis, and became very knowledgeable of the scriptures.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Daisy Wolfe of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Cody and Cassidy Wolfe; one great-granddaughter; a brother, Eric Sparkman of Pueblo, CO; a sister, Joyce Buckley of Portales; and a nephew, Barry Franks of Portales. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Pauline Alexander and by both of her husbands.
