Manuela Moreno-Hernandez June 10, 1971 ~ September 21, 2026 (age 55)

Committal services for Manuela Moreno-Hernandez, 55, of Portales will be held at 11:00 AM, Fri, Sept. 25, 2026 in the Portales Cemetery.  Manuela will be available for visitation from Tues. afternoon until Fri. morning at Club Dass, 500 N. Ave. I, Portales, NM.

Manuela Moreno-Hernandez was born June 10, 1971 in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico to Marcelina Juarez-Moreno, and passed from this life on Sept. 21, 2026 at her daughter’s home in Artesia, NM.  Manuela came to Portales in 1999, and for several years was employed at Borden’s Peanuts and later at Hampton Farms.  In 2010 she went to work at El Rancho Restaurant.  In 2016, she became ill, and was unable to work for a time, but in 2021 she began working as a caregiver with a local Hospice company.  Manuela had a natural gift as a counselor.  Her gift of helping others brought her a great sense of fulfillment.

For enjoyment, Manuela loved to dance.  She was a wonderful cook, and loved making delicious things for her family to enjoy.  Her greatest joy came in spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She was a member of Iglesia Del Dias Vivo.

She is survived by her life partner, Cesar Robledo of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jose Javier Moreno-Hernandez and Margaret Dimas of Portales and Gustavo A. Herrera-Moreno and Aileen of Broken Arrow, OK; two daughters, Ana Karen Moreno-Hernandez of Camargo, Mexico and Raquel Moreno and Andrew Olivas of Artesia; seven grandchildren, Luz Belen Dimas, Marcos Manuel Moreno, Ximena Muneca Moreno, Jordan Isais Moreno, Marjorie Yahira Andrade-Moreno, Nelly Camila Olivas and Evalie Grace Olivas; and a great-granddaughter, Aleyn Xytlali Reveles; and three sisters, Sylvia Ramirez of El Paso, TX, Gloria Contreras of Portales and Martha Moreno of Tyler, TX.  She was preceded in death by her mother.
