Phillip Montoya May 1, 1947 ~ March 31, 2026 (age 78)

Phillip Montoya, known by many as “Hitler” for his wild and unforgettable life, passed away on March 31, 2026, at the age of 78 in Portales, NM, where he resided.

Phillip was a man you either loved or hated-but no one ever forgot him. He lived life on his own terms , embracing every moment to the fullest. Beneath his bold personality was someone who loved deeply and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He is survived by his sister, Sharon Garcia, along with many nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward. Phillip was preceded in death by his mother, Rosanna Montoya Webb;his brothers, David Montoya, Sonny Montoya; and his sister Jeannie Peterson.

A small cremation service with close family and friends will be held Saturday April 11, 2026. Phillip will be laid to rest alongside his mother. He will be remembered for his larger than life presence, and by the many lives he touched in his own unique way.
