The Portales Rams traveled, along with the Lady Rams, to Lubbock for a game on January 14, 2020 against Trinity Christian. The boys game followed the girls, and the Rams struggled from the start. By the end of the game, Trinity Christian had nearly doubled what Portales had scored. The final of the game was 84-47, and the loss moved the Rams to 5-10 this season.
