A felony first appearance for the defendant in State v. Hannah Gutierrez, D-101-CR-2023-00040, will be held virtually on Wednesday, July 19. The hearing will be livestreamed to the New Mexico Courts YouTube channel at 11 a.m. MDT.
The first appearance is for charges brought in a third amended criminal information.
At a first appearance in New Mexico, a judge advises defendants of their rights, informs them of charged offenses and may set or review conditions of release.
News organizations may record and broadcast the live stream, publish images from the stream and live stream the feed.
The First Judicial District Court is remotely conducting the first appearance with an online video conferencing platform. The defendant and her attorney(s) and prosecutors will not be physically present in the Santa Fe County Courthouse. The press and the public can view the proceedings through the live stream on YouTube.
