CLEAN ‘ER UP!
Do you ever just want to scream about the litter in town? Well, this Saturday you can help pick it up. The City will be coordinating the Great American Clean Up again this year.  You can come by yourself or with a group. There are competitions for Largest Group and Most Bags of Trash Collected. A new addition to the competition this year is a food drive. Teams are asked to bring canned goods to be donated to Angel’s Ministries. The winner in each category will receive $75. The organizers have also collected door prizes from several local merchants that will be given away. At 11:30, hot dogs and water will be served to all participants. Woohoo!!!

If you have a group that wants to help, please call City Hall, Veda or Joan, 356-6662, and get registered. That way they can assign a territory for your group to work in. If you don’t have a group but want to help, show up Saturday morning and get adopted by an existing group.

The Clean Up is this Saturday, April 1st (no fooling), 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the south side of the Memorial Building. Trash bags will be provided to participants but vehicles won’t. Extra dumpsters will be on the grounds.

Come out and have some fun and help clean up trash that our recent winds like to spread around.
