PORTALES, NM – The Eastern New Mexico University volleyball team travels to Lubbock for the Chap Classic, hosted by Lubbock Christian. The Hounds go toe-to-toe with Colorado Mesa, Colorado Christian, Southwestern Oklahoma State and the hosting Chaps.

• Senior libero Andrea Aguilar enters the weekend one dig shy of 1,400 for her career with the Greyhounds. The reigning LSC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year has gone above 500 digs in each of the last two seasons and needs 531 to match Caitlin Murphy’s all-time mark of 1,930.

• Senior Brooklyn Biel has been a catalyst for the Greyhounds over the past three seasons. This past weekend, the Laveen, Ariz., native was the top offensive threat for the Greyhounds, hitting .235 with 33 kills. A force to be reckoned with in the middle, Biel has stuffed 224 shots during her time with the Green and Silver and needs 58 to crack the top 10 list in program history.

• Senior Alexis Aguirre needs 30 assists this weekend to eclipse 2,000 in her career with the Hounds. After claiming a 20th-place finish at the NCAA DII Track and Field Championships, the Artesia, N.M., native dished out 65 assists this past weekend.

• Sophomore Sarah Tuioti-Mariner and freshman Jasmine Gannon made significant contributions this past weekend. Gannon hit .444 with 10 kills on 18 swings against Regis while Tuioti-Mariner hammered 11 kills in the season-opener against 13th-ranked Wayne State.
